company:-
This company was established
in year 1977. At time of beginning the name of the
company was Modi Industries. The name of the company
was changed M/s Tribhovandas & Sons in year 1984.
In 2002 Partnership of company was dissolved and
the company was taken over by New group of Mr. Bharat
Patel Family. Mr. Bharat Patel is well experienced
in this business, in manufacturing and Export of
company Products Psyllium Husks and Psyllium Husks
Powder. Mr. Bharat Patel was Director in other Psyllium
Husks manufacturing company for 16 years, and he
had worked as main working full time Director. By
new group of Mr. Patel decided to change the name
of the company. Finally name of the company has been
decided “SHIV PSYLLIUM INDUSTRIES”.
Now company will supply and Export the Psyllium Husks
by this new name Shiv Psyllium Industries.

We are manufacturer, supplier
and Exporter of Psyllium Husks of different qualities.
Psyllium Husks derived from the seeds of plant called ‘Plantago
Ovata. It is known as Sat-Isabgol in India and in International
Market it is known as Psyllium Husks and Ispaghula.
It is derived from seeds by using grinders. The upper
layer is removed in this process, which is known as
Psyllium Husks. It is cleaned by winnowing system.
And other parts of seeds are used in cattle feed which
are known as Gola, Lali and Industrial Powder (Khakha).
Function & Use of Psyllium
:-
Psyllium Husks is a soluble fiber. Soluble
fiber becomes gelatinous and sticky in water. It is not absorbed
in the small bowel. It is broken down in the large bowel
and becomes a food source for the bacteria that live in the
colon. These healthy bacteria bulk up the stool, creating
larger softer stool which is easier to pass. Incidently,
after psyllium is metabolized in the colon, some of it is
absorbed and so adds some calories to the diet.
Psyllium is a bulking agent that promotes
bowel regularity. It can be used regularly, as opposed to
harsh stimulant laxatives which should only be used occasionally.
It is helpful in chronic constipation,irritable bowel syndrome,
diverticulosis, hiatus hernia and diabetes. Soluble fiber
may even lower cholesterol 10% to 15% if enough is taken.
In 1998 the United States Food & Drug
Administration (US-FDA) authorized the use of health claim
Label in food and dietary supplements containing Psyllium.
The health claim states that diets low in fat & cholesterol
together with in take of Psyllium Husks (Sat-Isabgol) may
reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering the cholesterol.
5 to 10 grams Psyllium (approximately
2 teaspoon) can be taken with water or variety of liquids
daily. In the case of dysentery (diarrhea) it should be taken
with curd. However it is useful in double purpose.

World Market of Psyllium:-
Mainly Psyllium Husks and
Industrial Powders are exported in so many countries which
are U.S.A., U.K., France, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Canada
Mexico Sweden, Spain, Norway, Italy, Australia Denmark, Korea,
Pakistan Gulf countries and some other small countries also.
Main share of U.S.A. is 60% of world demand. Others countries
share are 25% and share of domestic market of India is 15%
of world demand.

Psyllium Seed grows in several regions of India include North Gujarat,
Kutch, Saurastra, West Rajasthan and little quantity in Madhaypradesh
in all over world.

In year 2003 we have launched “TRISHUL
BRAND” Sat-Isabgol (Psyllium Husks) in consumer
packs of different sizes of 50grams, 100grams, 200grams,
250grams and 500grams for domestic market. We use best
quality materials Sat-Isabgol more than 99% pure (Psyllium
Husks) for our consumer packs. Generally Psyllium Husks
95% pure materials are exported. Only in Japan 99% pure
materials are exported.
